SPA Performance has developed a must have for 911 Turbo (997.1) builders
The stock manifolds are made out of plastic, which may work well for the stock engine, but when it comes to getting more out of this engine, this may be a limiting factor.
With that in mind, SPA Performance has developed manifolds 100% made of cast aluminum, with 5mm wall thickness, which will allow builders to work further on this engine, with no worries regarding the intake manifolds’ integrity.
SPA Performance has also developed a 100% cast aluminum plenum, aiming for higher flow values and ready for higher boost levels.
Comparing to the stock, SPA Performance’s plenum has a higher internal volume and it is made out of aluminum, which is much stronger than the stock one, made of plastic.
The manifolds are available in two options: 1 injector per cylinder (6 injectors) - bolt-on option, compatible with stock fuel system – and 2 injectors per cylinder (12 injectors) – for higher performance builds. For the 12-injector option, it features a pair of billet aluminum fuel rails, with -10AN inlet and outlet. The fuel rails are nickel plated for corrosion resistance and received a black electrostatic paint for a great surface finish. Both manifolds are offered with a high durability black wrinkle paint.
The plenum was designed to work with an 82mm throttle body (not included in the product), standard on the Porsche 911 997 GT3, which ensures greater flow for the set.
Stock hoses and clamps (not included) must be used to fix the manifolds and plenum.
