Your new premium silicone valve cover gasket should be bonded to the valve cover for best performance. Bonding Gasket to Valve CoverNOTE: The gasket can be mounted on either side for aftermarket alloy covers. For stock/OEM covers mount the round side to the valve cover; the flat side should be mated to the head sealing surface.
